4. Teen Wolf - Yet Another Case Of Queerbaiting

Yet another case of queerbaiting that ended up isolated the fan's from their favourite show.

Teen Wolf was a hit MTV teen drama in the 2010s. A show beloved by many for several different reasons including endearing characters, juicy drama and iconic ships. Ships like Scallison, Stydia, Stalia and Sterek. But one of those ships is not like the other. You see, Sterek, the cutsie nickname given to the pairing of Stiles and Derek, only truly existed in fanfiction. On the show, the two characters never actually get together at any point.

Now obviously, fan-shipping of two characters that never get together isn't uncommon. People see what they want to see and we all look for different things when watching a show. But this was different. You see, the showrunners and actors were well aware of the fans' favourite ship, but unlike the adverse reaction the Supergirl crew had to the ship, Teen Wolf seemed to embrace it.

Subtle clues seemed to start popping up, suggesting that maybe Stiles wasn't completely straight, and more and more scenes between the two characters were written into the show. For a minute there, fans really thought they were gonna get what they wanted.

But then, it all stopped, the characters were paired up with beautiful women and that was the end of it. Fans figured out that the showrunners had used them, and their wants, just to get good ratings. They never really cared about them at all.

Lily thought it was about time she wrote Top Ten lists for people other than herself. She also owes her dog a lot of money so she thought it was about time to pay her dues. There is no tv show she likes that she hasn't seen at least twice.
