7. The Moltisantis
Starring: Michael Imperioli, Cara Buono, Max Casella, and Peter Sarsgaard After Clever opens with more fanfare than expected, Tony Soprano allows Christopher to go to California in order to cultivate certain "relationships". With his wife Kelli (Cara Buono), associate Benny Fazio (Max Casella) and crew in tow, they head west. Garden State Production Co. gets up and running looking for scripts, actors, and actresses. In an instance where a woman throws herself at him in order to secure a part, Christopher figures out that pornography is a way to get some extra cash. It's big business and minimal risk. He tries to muscle his way into the business and runs into a "producer" whom he gets into serious squabbles with. Jefferson Garfield (Peter Sarsgaard) is not a man to be trifled with. His rage, unpredictablity, and the fact that he's an undercover cop make him an ongoing problem for Christopher. Meanwhile Kelli is taking to being a "hollywood wife" like a fish to water. She loves the lifestyle and all the glitz and glamour. But is wooed by the sultry drug lifestyle of Hollywood. Christopher doesn't anticipate the problems with other crews, actors, the police, and the family back home, thinking he's lost focus. It will take everything Chris has to stay one step ahead of the hangman's noose.
