8. Capone - Boardwalk Empire
Starring: Stephen Graham, Jason Clarke, Maria Bello, Arron Shiver, and John Stamos. After helping Nucky Thompson in Atlantic City, Al Capone (Stephen Graham) continues his rise to power in 1920's Chicago. His battles with Dean O'Banion (Arron Shiver), the Chicago Police, and an ever growing menace in Greektown, consume his every moment. After being "accidentally" shot by one of his own men, the former police chief is replaced by a high rising, hard nosed Irish Cop (Jason Clarke). He takes his job VERY seriously and refuses to bow down to the rising corruption in the police force and crime in the city. Capone is beset on all sides from those who want him dead. This includes a Greek mobster named Yorgo Stavrianos (John Stamos), better known as "The Mad Greek". He is madly in love with his wife Gina (Maria Bello) who is Italian, but is also secretly his most trusted advisor. Capone recklessly begins a war on three fronts, which begins the most notorious period in Chicago history.
