10 Television Spinoffs that Should've Happened (But Didn't)

3. Section 31 - Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Section 31 Starring: William Sadler, Kelly Hu, Omari Hardwick, and Hector Olizondo Directly following the events of the Dominion War, the treachery of the Cardassians, and the continued unknown threats throughout the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, Section 31's "questionable methods" are under attack from without and within. Captain Sloan (William Sadler), and his crew aboard the Guardian Class ship "Defender", "search out and identify threats to the Federation. Once those threats are identified, they are dealt with. Quietly." His first officer Sasha Chen (Kelly Hu) his right hand for over 10 years, is a brilliant military strategist and an expert in espionage. His new security chief Malcolm Grant (Omari Hardwick) is an expert in several alien martial arts and combat weapons. Unfortunately, he was forced upon Sloan by the new head of Section 31, Admiral Calderon (Hector Olizondo). Grant is a transfer from the Defender's sister ship, the "Sun Tzu". This crew fights the battles that are unseen in the halls of Starfleet Headquarters. The Tholians and The Tzenkethi, two species not known for their cooperation, soon join forces as they try to obtain a rare and volatile power source. In addition to this new threat, there are 3 rogue changelings looking for revenge against Section 31 for poisoning the Great Link. They will stop at nothing to destroy the clandestine organization. All the while, Section 31 deals with a mole deep inside their organization, possibly at their top levls. Threats, new and old, conspire to destroy the delicate balance of peace that came after the devastating Dominion War. Section 31, for better or worse, is our first, last, and best line of defense against these threats.
