10 Terrible Doctor Who Extras Who Completely Ruined Their Scenes
5. Non-Reassuring Guard (Voyage Of The Damned)
Angels have an awful reputation in Doctor Who. First there was light, a creepy guy who killed himself thinking Alice in Wonderland was real. Then there was the Weeping Angels, who were followed in hot pursuit by these awful things. When the Tenth Doctor talks to one and it simply starts malfunctioning (speaking in the sort of voice you usually hear when the phone line's gone bad), a really helpful - *ahem* - guard runs over to take it away with a really unnerving smile, which fades a billionth of a second after he turns away and he openly talks about it to his staff in front of just about everyone. He makes it look like the problem with the Angels speaker is so much worse than it seems. Isn't his job to reassure the passengers, not scare them with no good reason? It's a good thing they were hit by a nuclear bomb afterwards, really, so at least their fear wasn't in vain.
