10 Terrible Glee Musical Numbers

2. Ohio: Wonderful Town

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vAIzilTl-I This is for sure the most bored I have ever been with any Glee musical number. It went on for far too long and I really just wanted it to stop. Why wouldn't it stop? Maybe had I been older or even American I would have appreciated Carol Burnett's appearance in Glee far more than I did- but honestly, until Glee I had zero idea who she was and Glee didn't exactly get me all that enthusiastic about knowing anything more about her. A few days back I wrote an article naming Glee's worst and best guest stars. Unfortunately I completely forgot Carol Burnett but had I remembered she would have certainly featured highly on the worst side of that list. By season 2 most of us still just about liked Sue but she was still somewhat of a pointless character- I am pretty sure no one cared about meeting her mother though, especially considering we hadn't even met Rachel's dads at this point. Still this performance is completely unenthusiastic and lackluster although in all fairness so is the original. Why the Glee writers thought this song would be perfect for the show (other than the fact that the show is set in Ohio) is beyond me. The largest demographic for the show is teenagers and I am pretty sure no one has downloaded this song onto their ipods. If you have I'd actually like to know? I promise I won't laugh.

I am a recent Screenwriting for Film and Television graduate from the UK. I am an unashamed geek who loves everything Marvel, and anything Joss Whedon has ever touched (except for maybe Alien Resurrection and Titan A.E). My current favorite TV shows are Breaking Bad, Family Guy, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, American Horror Story, Homeland and Glee. I look forward to debating things with all of you in the future.
