9. Jaime Chokes Cersei
Cersei has long lived in fear of Maggy the Frog’s prophecy: hating Sansa, Margaery, and now Dany, believing each of them in turn to be the younger, prettier queen to come along and take her place. However, there is another part of the prophecy hanging over Cersei’s head, one which will likely come to a head in Season 8.
Cersei has been told that her ‘valonqar’, High Valerian for ‘little brother’, will kill her. Naturally, she suspects Tyrion, but then she suspects Tyrion of everything. Game Of Thrones has never been straight forward though, so fans have come up with a less obvious candidate to off Cersei; Jaime.
While they are twins, Jaime is technically younger, so qualifies as the little brother. Relations had certainly frosted over between the two by the previous season’s finale as well. The kicker though is the potential foreshadowing of the Westeros map. In one scene, Cersei addresses Jaime while stood at the Neck of Westeros. Jaime is stood at Littlefinger’s hometown: the Fingers. Does that mean he’ll choke her in the final season?
Another version predicts Cersei will die in childbirth, thus being replaced by her daughter and being killed (indirectly) by Jaime.
It’s anybody’s guess.
