8. Guess Who's (Also) Back
That's right! Clara won't be the only familiar face returning to Doctor Who this year because Missy will be back with a vengeance, too. It would've been silly to have assumed that Series 8 was going to be the first and only time this renegade Time Lord would cross paths with the Twelfth Doctor and her debut story definitely left us with the impression that it was setting her character up for much bigger things to come. She (seemingly) died at the end of it, of course, but that's never stopped the Master before. Fans won't have to wait long to see what she's got up her sleeve (though how can you get much bigger than an afterlife of Cyber-converted corpses?) because she'll be back to wreak more havoc in Series 9. Because that's just the way she rolls. Suffice to say, she was pretty - nay, unequivocally - "bananas" in Series 8 so you're not the only one dreading what lies in store. And you're also not the only one who can't bloody wait.
