Every superhero, DC or Marvel, needs a best friend. That one confidant that they can confide in and trust to have their back when the going gets tough. Superman has Jimmy Olsen, Blue Beetle has Paco, and Batman has...the guy who cleans the silverware and answers the door, I guess?

And Moon Knight is no different. Though some iterations of the character, such as the previously mentioned Ellis run, feature him working completely alone with nothing but automated machines and his alternate personalities, others have him working with a whole network of confidants and friends. And none are closer than Jean-Paul Duchamp.

Jean-Paul is a french pilot who often aided Marc Spector during his mercenary days, and continues to aid him as Moon Knight in his campaign against crime and corruption. The two have an unbreakable friendship, which is definitely something that Moon Knight needs, considering that this isn't a guy you wanna leave alone with his thoughts for too long.

He may tease and taunt him (particularly by primarily referring to him as "frenchie") but there's no doubt that Moon Knight values the aid of Jean-Paul.
