10 Things HBO Wants You To Forget About Game Of Thrones

3. An Age-Old Issue

Robb Stark surely has some form of reverse fake ID. That man, right there, is only meant to be 14 years old in the first book, and 16 by the time of his death. In the TV show, he's actually meant to be 18 when he's killed at the Red Wedding, but still, he could pass for 10 years older than that if he needed to. Tommen Baratheon is only supposed to be 8, Jon Snow is just 15, Daenerys is 14, Margaery 16, although at least they were pretty accurate with Maester Aemon's 102-year-old character. Changing the ages from a bunch of kids up to adults is a reasonable one, but they could have made them older still. However, underneath it all, hardcore fans won't enjoy TV networks meddling with their favourite book series' and bumping the age of the cast right up. HBO just wants you to forget all about the kids in A Song Of Ice And Fire and accept that their TV characters are legit.
