Superman is coming to Starling City! Brandon Routh has joined the cast of Arrow for the upcoming season as Ray Palmer, who DC fans know more affectionately as Atom. Palmer shows up in Starling City looking to make a play for Oliver's company as well as the affection of Felicity, both beings things Oliver holds very dearly. The problem this will create is that The Atom is not a bad guy. Ray Palmer is a hero just like Oliver, which is going to make things very difficult for our hero. One interesting thing to see is going to be how the writers of Arrow deal with all of Palmer's powers. Atom is one of the most powerful superheroes in all of comics, being able to control every cell of his body at a molecular level as well as possessing an indigo power ring that grants him additional powers. Arrow is very grounded in reality, which could mean Ray Palmer never becomes Atom in the series. Either way, it should be fun to watch Routh interact with the rest of the cast throughout the season.
