10 Things Netflix’s Ted Bundy Documentary Left Out

1. What Happened To His Daughter

That's not the only unanswered question about Ted's family from the docuseries' conclusion.

During the ending stretch of the final episode, there's a shocking account of how Bundy somehow fathered a daughter whilst waiting to be executed on death row. A few years earlier, he'd married Carol Anne-Boone in court and the pair remained lovers until 1986. In 1981, Carol gave birth to a baby daughter the couple named Rose.

It's chilling to see snaps of Carol, Rose and Ted posing for the cameras, and to see baby Rose camped out in her dad's prison. Presumably, the filmmakers thought they couldn't miss this plot point out. In retrospect, they maybe should have if they weren't going to tie up the loose end.

In fairness, it's all a bit of a mystery. Rose left Florida with her mother in '86 and never had contact with her father again. The Sun claims she's since changed her name and identity so she can live a life free of Ted's grisly legacy.
