10 Things The Simpsons Taught You Better Than Your Parents

5. Love More, Worry Less

Parents are always after their kids to focus, try harder, study more, go be a doctor, a lawyer, whatever. It's all great advice up to a point, but really, the happiest people you know may not always turn out to be the most successful. Homer has nary a care in the world most episodes, but he's the happiest guy around. Bart seems pretty carefree as well, and he's doing fine. In comparison, the worry-warts of the family, Lisa and Marge... well, remember Marge's line in the Shary Bobbin's song in Simpsoncalifragilisticexpiala(Annoyed Grunt)cious that goes "the house is such a mess and I'm going bald from stress?" Love more, worry less - it's simple and you'll end up happier.
