10 Things That Prove Doctor Who Really Exists

2. A Man With Two Hearts Really Does Exist

The Doctor's binary-vascular system is almost as famous as his sonic screwdriver, but he's not the only one with two hearts; an Italian pensioner not only has two, he's had emergency heart surgery on both of them. The unnamed man wasn't actually born with both of them, it's only fair to point out; he actually had a rare operation where a new heart was paired with his old one.

The two became out of sync though (what's the problem? That's the heartbeat of a Time Lord!) and when drug therapy didn't work, both of them stopped, and he had to be operated on. It's somewhat of a medial miracle, but it's still prompted pretty much every internet commenter to mention that it wouldn't matter if he died in theatre, he'd only regenerate. Which is a shame. I'd have gone down the Appalapachia/Chen 7 route personally.
