10 Things The Walking Dead Wishes It Could’ve Done Differently

Though The Walking Dead has always been hit and miss in terms of quality, it properly entered a decline after the introduction of Negan and his Saviors.

Though the build up was great, what should have been the ultimate antagonist on the show became little more than a frustration, as the writers botched major moments from the comics and overall assumed way more people were interested in the arc than actually were.

The build up to All Out War was a slog, with an entire season essentially dedicated to the misery of the survivors we'd come to adore over the previous years, as episode after episode focused on them under the boot of their new enemies.

The idea was to pay this off with an epic season that saw the two sides at war, but the execution was similarly messy. The 'war' was poorly defined, and episodes amounted to boring firefights where none of the major players were in any danger thanks to thick plot armour.

Throw on top of that a bunch of inconsistent character arcs, some shoddy effects and bloated episodes, and the whole thing felt like a total slog.
