10 Things To Look Out For In Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters

The show couldn't exactly have the title Monarch: Legacy of Monsters if there were no monsters to be found. And, aside from Godzilla himself, there are some 'blink and you'll miss them' shots of monsters whose identities still need confirming.

The first new monster seen is a winged, dragon-like beast flying over the treetops. You see the same creature bursting out from inside a capsized ship.

While there have been a whole range of theories regarding the identity of this monster, it seems most likely that this is a new beast entirely. It may, however, be related to or inspired by some of Toho Godzilla's historic foes.

Secondly, there is some large crab or arachnid creature kicking up a storm. It isn't seen clearly, but the camera then cuts to Bill Randa running away from the creature.

The scenery behind him is almost identical to that seen when, in Kong: Skull Island, a giant daddy-long legs creature attacks a group of the stranded soldiers. Whether this is a new creature, or a variant of this already-seen monster, is unclear. In any case, the discovery of new monsters promises to expand on Monarch's secrets rather than just uncover them.
