10 Things We're All Waiting To See Happen In The Walking Dead

5. The Demise Of The Governor

Happen Governor Expecting a collision between the Governor and the prison, we€™re also expecting a resolution. There€™s no way the Governor is living forever, let alone making it past season 4 €“ unless he becomes a walker, then he can €œlive€ forever. I€™m sure Lizzie would still hang out with him. If Michonne hadn€™t told Daryl she€™s given up on chasing the Governor, then I would expect her to eventually catch up with him. After losing Andrea, she€™s certainly got the greatest vendetta against the Governor. However, I believe we€™re seeing Michonne go in a different direction. The path towards the Governor is laden with ruthless violence and vengeance, but she€™s been following a path towards caring and vulnerability. After sharing moments with Daryl, Tyreese, and Beth, Michonne€™s developing a much more tender side. The grim silhouette introduced at the end of season 2 may have torn the Governor apart, but the new Michonne is no longer that one-dimensional. By contrast, I believe the Governor is doomed to die at the hands of someone close to him. By humanizing the Governor in the previous episode, the writers have sentenced him to a tragic demise rather than a glorious death at the hands of anyone in the prison. Now that we€™ve seen him rise, we need to see him fall; he can€™t simply be stomped out by Rick and company. In this vein, I expect he€™s going to die in the same manner he dies in the graphic novels. Eventually, Brian and the Governor are going to intersect; he€™s going to have to reveal some of his intentions to Lilly, Tara, and Meghan. I expect he€™s going to explain he knows a safe place for them to stay: the prison. He€™s likely going to explain it€™s filled with ruthless killers that they have to execute. That way, the prison can be filled with new ruthless killers, of course. Regardless, they€™re going to take the bait, but once they reach the prison and see the women and children that inhabit it, they€™re going to see the real Governor that exists beneath the guise of Brian. Once they see the humanity leave him, one of the women is going to kill the Governor. It€™s a tragedy that fits a King €“ I mean a Governor.
