10 Things We Already Know About The X-Files Revival
3. Creator Chris Carter Has Been Saving Story Ideas For The Years
"I read all the time, I'm always on the internet... I catalogue (the stories), I collect them and I'll use them as they're fit to be used in the stories we're telling."
Chris Carter has confirmed with the above quote that he has been squirreling away little bits and pieces of real life happenings that could be used in episodes for years. The comment, made in his X-Files News interview in late March (which is expanded on, mentioning the Venezuelan conflicts in 2014), would suggest that the new episodes should have plenty of meat on their bones, so to speak. That's great news, since the series goes to production in just a few months, meaning scripts will be developed quickly. If some of the work is already done, or outlines or even just ideas already there, then all the better.
