10 Things We Learned From All Or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur

6. Spurs Are Too Nice A Team

Early in the series Jose says that Spurs are too nice a team and that is something that is picked up throughout the documentary but also continues to be shown this season. It can be assumed that he is highlighting players such as Son, Alli and Winks to name a few. All of their team are more than capable on the pitch, but lack that other side of the game.

He picks out Eric Dier as the only player who is capable of doing the dark side really well. Time after time Spurs failure last year came down to not having that killer side. In the documentary, Jose says "Nobody insults me in the tunnel when I play you."

Over his career this is one area that Mourinho teams have been very successful in, his teams have always had that side, the ability to manage games and shut up shop when needed.

The arrival of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg at the start of the season showed they are trying to improve in this area, but I expect Jose may make more signings of this type before Spurs can move to the next level.
