9. Damon Lindelof Is A Superfan
Though many fans reached out with written questions for the Q and A session, only one fan was featured in a special video question. Described as an “uber fan,” Damon Lindelof, creator of the HBO series The Leftovers and Watchmen, sent in a video in which he asks if the cast and Harmon had advice for playing The Floor is Lava like they did in the episode Geothermal Escapism.
Lindelof’s Community fandom contrasts with his usual body of work. He tends to specialize in darker, more dramatic films and shows, such as the aforementioned HBO shows, Lost, and his new horror film The Hunt. The admiration was mutual, with Harmon and Brown praising the Hunt and Watchmen.
And to answer Lindelof’s question, the cast emphasized the importance of brooms for The Floor is Lava.
