10 Things We Learned From The X-Files Revival Premiere My Struggle

6. You Can Never Be Too Paranoid

"We've never been in more danger" says Fox Mulder - how very true. This is one area that The X-Files can really capitalize on. In the post 9/11 world of terrorism, the Patriot Act, and N.S.A. surveillance, we're told we're in more danger than ever before. We also - many of us - are under watch by "Big Brother" types more than ever before. Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you. Both Kurt Cobain and the original X-Files series referenced this line by Catch-22 author Joseph Heller. It's a line that would fit perfectly with this new episode. If any one thing in My Struggle stood out, it's how suited The X-Files is to modern times. The news clips of George W. Bush, Edward Snowden and others sealed the deal.
