10 Things We Learned From The X-Files Revival Premiere My Struggle

7. Scully Is Open To Dating - But It Sure Feels Odd

Sure, this was done to increase the tension between Scully and Mulder, but Tad O'Malley's awkward overture to Scully - in her own hospital no less - was accepted. Which shows, at least, that Dana Scully is trying to move on in her personal life. The problem the show has, however, is that we all know that it's going nowhere. And though most of their one-on-one encounter took place off screen, the fact that she even accepted a drink from O'Malley in his private limo is startling. It's not really the Dana Scully we're used to, though she has shown flashes of it before (the fourth season episode Never Again, for example). Even so, this little outing feels weird, and it's doubtful much will come of it, even if O'Malley is back in the follow-up to this episode, which will be the final episode of the revival. By then, you can be money on Mulder and Scully having rekindled their romance.
