10 Things We Want To See In The Fallout TV Series
9. Vaults
Vaults are where the select few able to ride out the nuclear winter did so, protected behind ominous, circular metal doors and buried deep underground. Little did the occupants know that these vaults were also testing grounds for nefarious experiments being run by Vault-Tec, the company behind their construction, often in partnership with the U.S. military. You can explore a countless number of vaults across the games and uncover what horrors went on behind closed doors.
The vault appearing in the upcoming series is Vault 33, as confirmed by Amazon Prime. A promotional photo shows three figures stood in front of an opening vault door, with the number 33 visible on each of their blue jumpsuits (mandated clothing in practically every vault ever built). The Vault Boy - Vault-Tec's mascot - visible in the series' promo image is also wearing a Vault 33 jumpsuit.
What subliminal purpose, if any, was Vault 33 designed for? We can only speculate, but Vault 92 in Fallout 3 (2008) was set up with the promise of preserving musical talent. Given that this series takes place in Los Angeles, the home of Hollywood, perhaps it promises something similar, albeit with actors and filmmakers instead?
