10 Things You Didn't Know About Krysten Ritter

2. She Was Determined To Be On Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad is a show that took a long time to really break through, despite its obvious quality. Certainly from a UK perspective, it wasn't until it hit Netflix that it really started to get a following, and even in the US it wasn't an instant hit, probably something to do with its rather dark and drug-fuelled premise while being headlined by the dad out of Malcolm in the Middle. Of course, that all seems a bit daft now it's regarded as one of the greatest TV series of all time, but it was the case when Ritter was getting a part on it.

She'd seen the first season, which consisted of just seven episodes, and really wanted to be on the show, despite an offer from a popular network series. According to the actress, she wasn't even bothered about people seeing it, she just wanted to be on Breaking Bad because she thought it was "rad." After departing the show, she continued to watch the series as a fan - albeit one with some real insider knowledge - and before the series ended she was still rooting for Walter White, despite the fact that he'd caused her to choke to death on her own vomit.
