10 Things You Didn't Know About Krysten Ritter

4. She's A Farmgirl

Breaking Bad Jane
AMC

Krysten Ritter, through her roles and just in real life, definitely comes across as having that 'New York cool' to her person, from the way she dresses to her demeanour. However, she's not from some big city like New York or Los Angeles, but is actually a Pennsylvania farmgirl.

It was a cattle and chicken farm that she was raised on, and the family didn't have horses since there wasn't much point to them (no milk, no meat, basically). So, instead, she raised a cow that she named Jake, obviously. According to Ritter, they'd take naps together when he was just a calf, but when he got bigger things got a little weirder.

She said: "When I would go hang out with him, I€™d pull him over to the side of the fence, hold on to the scruff of his neck and get on him. And he would start walking. People would drive by and take pictures, like, 'Who is this girl riding a cow?'"
