One of the most intriguing things about Supergirl is the fact that it sort-of exists in the same universe as other popular DC shows Arrow and The Flash (and soon to be Legends of Tomorrow). What all of these series have in common is the fact that they're produce by Greg Berlanti, with many of the seem writing and producing staff working on all of the shows. While Arrow and The Flash have crossed over numerous times already, and will continue to do so going forwards, there's a question mark over whether Supergirl will ever appear on one of those shows. While it may be the team behind-the-scenes team, it's on a different network (CBS, whereas Arrow and The Flash are on The CW), making the logistics a little tricky. However, if they do eventually share a screen (fingers crossed!), then Benoist has a specific idea in mind for how it would work: "There are comic books, an entire universe, where The Flash and Supergirl are kind of rivals. That would be really fun. I dont know if thats a possibility, but that would be cool." Supergirl vs The Flash? Please make it happen, Berlanti.
