10 Things You Learn Rewatching Game Of Thrones Season 3

3. Sheer Importance Of The Red Wedding

Game Of Thrones 6 Dothraki Warrior
HBO

This may seem like the most obvious point, but the paramount importance of the Red Wedding simply cannot be overstated. There really hasn't been a bigger event in Westeros since then; Joffrey's death, Night's Watch mutiny, Cersei's imprisonment included.

It's easy to forget how huge Robb Stark really was, and what he could've done for the realm. It's easy to forget the impact of a next-generation Stark months away from being born, growing inside Talisa. It's easy to forget how much Catelyn's death shook her homeland.

Rewatching the scene strips back all of the hype surrounding it. In the years since the Red Wedding was first aired, it has built up a frantic reputation among fans and even non-fans, so just simply watching it again gives you a clear view of what actually happened, and yes, it really was insane. The world changed in that hall.
