10 Things You Learn Rewatching Game Of Thrones Season 3

4. 'The Climb'

Game Of Thrones 6 Dothraki Warrior
HBO

Rewatching Season 3 reaffirms the idea that Episode 6 'The Climb' has a few truly incredible moments for very different reasons. When you see the title you instantly think of the literal climb that Jon takes with the wildlings, but there's more to it.

Baelish and Varys' scenes are near-perfection, and 'The Climb' offers one of the finest quotes in Thrones history from Littlefinger: "Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, they cling to the realm or the gods or love. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is."

It's stunning to see how the show ties Baelish's ideas to the events at the Wall, and the quote itself is a perfect way of summing up the entire game of thrones that so many characters have tried to play.
