10 Things You Learn Rewatching Gilmore Girls

6. Stars Hollow Is (Sadly) Fictional

It would be nice to believe that Stars Hollow is a real place that we could all go visit for coffee and folksy festivals. Sadly, it's all fictional (although it is based on Washington Depot, Conneticut) and the filming set isn't even unique to Gilmore Girls.

You'll notice a lot of the set pieces were used by the producers of Pretty Little Liars for the town of Rosewood. From the white chapel to the central gazebo, all of these well-known Stars Hollow landmarks were reprised for Pretty Little Liars.

Another example of a shared set piece is the exterior of the Dragonfly Inn - it looks familiar because it was also the home of The Waltons. In fact, you probably recognise the set on a lot of other television shows, including Hart of Dixie, Riverdale and The Dukes of Hazzard.
