10 Things You Learn Rewatching Star Wars Rebels
1. The Rebels Feel Like A Family
In the midst of all the action, chaos, and rebellion, it's easy to forget that the characters are the heart of Star Wars Rebels, even more than the Rebellion itself. They all care about each other, not just as soldiers, but as family.
While Clone Wars's strength was its story arcs, Rebels shines with its character-driven narrative. It's easier to track their growth in relation to each other, such as how Ezra goes from a street urchin doing whatever he can to survive, to a Jedi who would die for his friends.
Typically, in a Star Wars show, the character dynamics would take a back seat to the actual wars in the stars. However, the best episodes of Rebels are able to flip that, with the Original Trilogy providing the background to watch this strange, stitched together family grow together.
