In drag parlance, a "fishy" queen is a very feminine one - someone who's convincingly posing as a woman. While that may seem like an ideal quality for a competition like this, that's not always the truth. Some performers feel that looking too much like a woman isn't in the spirit of drag, and that queens should go over the top with campy makeup and affectations. Again, there's no right or wrong answer, but history doesn't lie - the fishiest queens traditionally haven't been the winners on RuPaul's Drag Race. While queens with one-of-a-kind style like Raja and Sharon Needles have taken home the crown, the fishier Kenya Michaels and former Australian Idol contestant Courtney Act have come up short. Talent comes in many forms - just don't expect that the $100,000 cash prize goes to whoever looks the most like a traditional woman.
