8. 1993 - The Death Of John Teller
John was hit by an 18-wheeler in 1993. He later died in hospital from his injuries. Before his untimely death, John was able to complete a manuscript entitled 'The Life and Death of Sam Crow: How the Sons of Anarchy Lost Their Way.' The manuscript detailed John's vision of fighting for freedom rather than material goods. While in Belfast setting up the Belfast chapter of the Sons (SAMBEL) John started a relationship and had a daughter with Maureen Ashby who was a friend to the Real IRA, SAMCRO's gun supplier. Shortly before his death he wrote to Maureen to tell her that he knew his wife Gemma was involved with his VP and best friend Clay. He stated in the letter that he knew he didn't have much time left, and that Gemma and Clay would be responsible for his death. Clay later admitted that he was responsible for John's death, with the help of Gemma and chief of police Wayne Unser.
