10 Things You Only Notice Rewatching Schitt's Creek

9. The Songs In The Finale Sound Familiar

Like many finales, the last episode of Schitt's Creek has nods to the show's most defining moments. But in a nice twist, a lot of these callbacks are done through song. During Patrick's vows to David, he sings Mariah Carey's Always Be My Love. This is a homage to when Patrick said he loved David for the first time, saying, "You're my Mariah Carey."

And since every wedding needs a band, we knew the Jazzagals would sing a few ballads for David and Patrick's special day. During the ceremony, the girls sing Precious Love, which is extremely personal since it was played at the climax of Season 2 when the Roses embraced their new home for the first time.

Of course, we all remember how emotional it was when Patrick sang Simply the Best to David at the Open Mic night so it wasn't surprising when Jocelyn's gang belted out the lyrics from this song as well. When you hear these tunes again upon rewatching the show, you can't help getting gooey-eyed, knowing they'll be played during the happiest day of David and Patrick's life.
