10 Things You Somehow Missed In Bob's Burgers

3. Subtle Continuity Details

The animators of Bob’s Burgers do a fantastic job of keeping up the continuity of the show, but you’ve got to look for the little things to notice it.

There is one scene in Friends with Burger-Fits, where Bob gets out of bed early in the morning to go jogging with Teddy. As he bends down to put some footwear on, his shirt rides up briefly to reveal Bob has a tattoo of a nose and a moustache. This is a careful detail in the show's timeline, because it’s a reference to the tattoo he was given in the previous episode The Equestranauts.

This is not the only instance of subtle continuity. The soft serve ice cream machine has visible dents in it from when it was being mauled by the land shark in The Deepening. And you can sometimes see the new, modernised public bathroom in Bob’s restaurant still in place after Mr. Fischoeder’s odd brother Felix ordered for it to be revamped in Ambergris.
