10 Things You Somehow Missed In Bob's Burgers
4. Better Caul Saul
Whilst the Tina-Rannosaurus Wrecks episode can’t strictly be called a crossover, it does make a huge reference to the character Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman, an untrustworthy lawyer featured in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
The episode starts with Bob teaching Tina the basics of driving in a parking lot. Panicked at the wheel, she collides into another car, which turns out to be Jimmy Pesto’s. Much to the discomfort of Tina, Bob lies about the incident, claiming it was him who drove the car the whole time.
The family encounters Chase, a seemingly reliable insurance adjuster. But as the Belchers get more involved with him, they realise he is just using them as part of his insurance fraud schemes.
Saul Goodman and Chase are similar characters because they are both sleazy and less than reputable in their respective professions, willing to do anything to make money. Furthermore, both characters are portrayed by Bob Odenkirk. This could be almost be regarded as a crossover between two shows if Saul was undertaking a new identity and job as Chase. Almost.
