Jefferson Hall was a revelation in his dual role on House of the Dragon.

The Vikings alum effortlessly breathed life into the identical Lannister twins, Tyland and Jason - a task easier said than done considering the marked contrast between the pair's personalities.

However, viewers may not have realised that this was not actually Hall's first foray into Westeros - there's a reason he looks familiar! The actor actually played a minor role in Game of Thrones' first season as Ser Hugh of the Vale. The squire of the late Jon Arryn, Hugh is implied to have had a role in the death of Ned Stark's mentor before being swiftly silenced by the Lannisters.

It's hardly shocking that many watching may have forgotten this minor character; Ser Hugh has less than five minutes of screentime before his grisly demise. All the fancy new armour in the world doesn't do much to protect against a lance through the throat from Ser Gregor Clegane, aka the Mountain that Rides.

The fleeting nature of Hall's appearance means that his original character swiftly vanishes into the mists of obscurity. After all, this was decidedly not the first background character on Game of Thrones to be swiftly and brutally done away with.
