2. Behind The Scenes

Teen Wolf loved to get the most of its cast – using actors for multiple roles and casting family members. This trend continues behind the scenes as well, with the show’s actors pulling double duty in writing, directing, and producing roles.

Dylan O’Brien exercised his creative writing talents, writing the scene in the Season Three episode “Motel California” where Scott and Stiles discuss Star Wars and the Darach. He also ad-libbed the popular “Don’t be such a sour wolf” quote from the Season One episode “Heart Monitor.”

Both Tyler Posey and Linden Ashby made their directorial debuts during the final season, directing episodes 13 and 14, respectively. Posey’s episode, "After Images", focused on the mission to save a missing werewolf from the hunters Tamora Monroe and Gerard Argent. Whereas, Ashby’s episode, "Face-to-Faceless" focuses on the battle against a faceless corpse and the reveal of Monroe’s true motives. Ashby has continued directing, helming the 2020 Lifetime film Escaping My Stalker.

However, Tyler Posey made the biggest contribution to the series behind the scenes. In addition to directing, he also served as a producer for Seasons Five and Six. Posey was also the only character to appear in all 100 episodes of the series, making him the most valuable player in Teen Wolf history.
