10 Things You Somehow Missed In The Office

7. Michael's Dumpster Diving

The Office
NBC

Michael Scott was never a man for waste.

The regional manager took this way of living to rather questionable new levels in Season 5's The Surplus, in a scream-worthy moment that might have gone missed if one wasn't paying laser-focused attention.

After conflict breaks out between Jim and Pam over what the office surplus should be spent on - it's obviously new chairs - the former brings her a portion of tiramisu as a peace offering, after he and several other office members attempt to buy Michael's loyalty by taking him out to lunch.

Pam is no pushover however, and dumps the desert into the trash can without a flicker of emotion. In the mind of any rational person, it seems exceedingly unlikely that the pudding would make a reappearance. However, when you realize that Michael chastised Pam for throwing away a "perfectly good piece of tiramisu", it should have been obvious what was coming next.

Lo and behold, Michael can be seen soon afterwards at his desk as he tucks into a mysterious portion of tiramisu with gusto - no prizes for guessing where his dessert came from.
