10 Things You Somehow Missed In The Office

5. The IT Guy's Doppelganger

The Office
NBC

Portrayed by Nelson Franklin, Nick "the IT Guy" always got a hilariously brutal bad rap working at Dunder Mifflin.

This was a man who wanted to go off and teach inner city kids computer skills, only to be brutally ignored by the office when he attempted to say goodbye. Forgetting his name and acidly informing him that said kids only use computers for "games and porn" was just unnecessarily cruel - but also extremely funny.

While his explosive revelation of the office members' secrets in Season Six was the last time fans saw this unfairly maligned character, Nick may have looked familiar for a reason - Franklin's first appearance on the show actually came several seasons prior.

The actor was featured as the man running a graphic design stall at a job fair - he is actually the one who clues Pam in about the technicalities and criteria required for her to finally pursue her dream as an artist. It's a minor role, but a significant one, and entirely easy to miss given the throwaway nature of his character.

It has never been confirmed whether this pair were one and the same person, but given the parallels between their respective fields, it's not the longest shot imaginable.
