10 Times Doctor Who Appeared In Other TV Shows - Commenter Edition
3. My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
My Little Pony was one of the most popular picks in the comments of our original video, so to all our WhoCulture bronies: you're welcome.
As pointed out by those commenters, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic - which aired a staggering 200-plus episodes over the course of the 2010s - features a character who goes by several different names, including Dr. Hooves, Doctor Whooves, and Time Turner.
Whatever you prefer to call him, this little guy bears several visual similarities to the Doctor, from his brown and spiky Tennant-esque hair, to his penchant for bow ties and multicoloured scarves, to the fact that he literally has an hourglass mark on his back leg, alluding to the Doctor's timey-wimey tendencies.
In the eighth issue of the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic comic-book series, he can even be seen holding a sonic screwdriver - just in case there was any doubt that these Doctor Who parallels were accidental.
Fighting shadow monsters, Dr. Hooves? There's probably an app for that.
Hilariously, some My Little Pony fans even refer to him as "The Last Survivor of Gallop-frey", although it's quite difficult to imagine this innocent little pony murdering his own people in a brutal war against the Daleks.
