10 Times Doctor Who Said F**k You To The Fans

3. Smoocher From Space

It may seem odd now, but there existed a time when the thought of a Doctor snogging his companion appeared inconceivable. "No hanky panky in the TARDIS" became a mantra toward the end of the classic run, and despite actresses being shoehorned into revealing outfits, it was strictly a case of look but don't touch. Sixteen years on and that idea went out the window faster than Frank Spencer with his jacket snagged on a giant bat. Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper possessed a powerful sexual chemistry at the dawn of NuWho, but there was one key moment which laid the groundwork for the ensuing shenanigans that were to come. That moment, of course, occurred during the Eighth Doctor's single full-length outing on television. Dr Grace Holloway (Daphne Ashbrook) helped the freshly-regenerated Time Lord get his mojo back in more ways than one. Buoyed by a burgeoning sense of mental stability, floppy-haired heart(s)throb Paul McGann took the nation's hero into the realms of cheekiness. Maybe it was the fireworks. Maybe there was something in the San Francisco air. Either way, the gorgeous Gallifreyan felt extraordinarily amorous, and Grace copped the full benefit of his latest set of lips. The sound of several million fanboy jaws hitting the floor could be heard as far away as Metebelis III.
