10 Times Donald Glover Stole The Show In Community

2. Troy And Abed In The Morning (Numerous)

You can't pick just one episode of Troy and Abed in the Morning. One of the greatest running segments of the show, Troy and Abed in the Morning's frequent appearances in the credits of episodes are filled with the most wholesome, surreal and downright hilarious scenes you'll ever see.

They have their own theme song, conduct a variety of interviews with receptive (Rich) and not so receptive (Jeff) subjects, engage in phenomenal bits like giving Star Burns a turtle and having him pretend it's his own pet or having their weather correspondent Garret on hand to tell us if it's, "still sunny", among countless other moments.

Glover is always incredible here, playing off Danny Pudi flawlessly and engaging sincerely in some of the craziest bits on network TV. His kind demeanour plays perfectly here, and he nails the persona of the affable morning show host.

The key element that defines these scenes, is Jeff's reaction to the lack of cameras there on set. Both Troy and Abed react like he's crazy for wondering, as they just do this for themselves, they get the extras because people want to have fun with them. It doesn't matter if it won't get seen by anyone or if it sounds stupid to an outsider, it makes them happy, and is such a profound testament to their bond. When Abed asks "who would want to watch this?" the answer is all of us. Glover is essential to this being so powerful.
