10 Times Family Guy Went Way Too Far

Next up is yet another musical, this one even more tasteless than the last. The season 8 episode "Peter Assment" opens with Stewie's pre-school class performing "Terry Schaivo: The Musical".

For those who may be unaware, Terry Schaivo was a woman who spent fifteen years in a vegetative state, with her parents fighting with her husband over whether she should be kept on life support or not. The musical in the show references her "mashed potato brains" and even goes as far as calling her "the most expensive plant you'll ever see".

Eventually Schaivo would die after having her feeding tube removed. Although the episode aired 5 years after her passing it is still tasteless humour, especially when you consider she still has family alive.
