The love triangle between Kate, Jack and Sawyer was non-stop throughout all six seasons of Lost, sparking a debate over who she should end up with. In the finale, when Jack remains on the island and Kate and Sawyer are two of the survivors who leave on the plane, it's implied they'll live a life together, even if her heart does belong to Jack, and Sawyer's belongs to Juliet. Both have lost their true partners, so why not stick together for the companionship? This isn't certain, of course, but it's one of theories. If it's true, it's odd for Kate and Jack to end up together and it's totally fine that she had already lived a whole life with Sawyer. Once again, though, this has been left unanswered by the Lost creators and seems a lazy way of trying to please everyone rather than giving a definite answer. Sigh.
