3. Walkers

Regardless of how many layers of human conflict are applied to both shows, the ultimate villains in both shows are not quite dead, not quite alive. And yes, they're all referred to as walkers. It's clearly coincidental, but it's bizarre that two of modern day TV's biggest and best shows both features 'walkers' as their bad guy. Barring a bit of ice, snow and a blue filter, they even look similar. The walkers are tough to kill en masse, though if the technique and tools are correct, they fall a lot easier. One headshot is enough for a Walking Dead walker, one body blow with Valyrian steel is enough for a Game Of Thrones walker. It's also interesting to note that HBO changed George R.R. Martin's book name for the creatures from 'The Others'. Too differentiate from LOST maybe?
