1. Everyone Is Infected (Except All These People)
At the end of Season 2, after Shane's death, Rick tells the group that everyone is infected, and that when they die, they will turn into walkers just like everyone else even if they died of natural causes. What's more remarkable about is that nobody figured it out until this point. Surely one of the survivors had seen someone die of natural or non-walker-related causes prior to this happening? Anyway, whether the audience was clued in or not, once the secret was out it invited people to go back and check whether this major premise of the show had been followed through consistently through the rest of Seasons 1 and 2. It turns out it wasn't. Remember the traffic jam at the start of the second season? Remember how dozens of people were dead in their cars? What happened to them? They hadn't been bitten by walkers. Most of them were still in their seat-belts. Presumably they'd died of dehydration but NONE of them had turned! It's hard to say what happened here. Jenner whispered something to Rick shortly before he died in the episode TS-19, so clearly the idea that all people are infected had been planned in advance, yet it hadn't been carried through consistently at the start of Season 2. Very confusing and a major MAJOR plot hole.
