10 Times TV Shows Made Up Incredible Movie Ideas

9. Untitled Tarantino Zombie Film (The IT Crowd)

Threat Level Midnight
Channel 4

The Untitled Tarantino Zombie Film from The IT Crowd was so unmissable for best friends Roy and Moss, that they risked being eaten by a very polite German cannibal in order to watch it.

During the course of the show, Roy is desperate to watch his bootleg version of this South Korean zombie film in peace but keeps getting interrupted. To make matters worse, his friend The Dominator (or Jeff) calls him up to not only gloat but reveal there is a plot twist at the end.

After hearing that his best friend Moss had had a misunderstanding with a cannibal, he decides to pretend to volunteer himself as the cannibal's dinner in order to finally watch his movie. Just as the film starts, the police swarm the flat and take Roy and Moss in for questioning; not about the fine young cannibal, but about the bootleg DVD that Roy had in his possession.

Not surprisingly, this episode spawned Reddit forums dedicated to finding out what the twist was at the end but also for this film to be made. Whether or not those sub-Reddits were made by opportunistic cannibals remains to be seen.
