10 Times You Can't Believe South Park Actually Went There

9. Jared Fogle Got Aides (Not That Kind)

In the episodes, Jared Has Aides, the citizens of South Park become increasingly anxious about the obesity epidemic. These concerns inspire Subway's spokesperson, Jared Fogle, to visit the town, and encourage the people to stay healthy. Even though Jared reportedly lost 250lbs by mainly eating Subway meals, he admits his weight loss was due to the help of his assistants, who he refers to as "his aides".

And that is the joke, ladies and gentlemen. Jared Fogle lost weight after he got aides. It's a silly bit of wordplay but what's you'd expect on South Park at this point.

But the story doesn't end there. In 2015, Jared Fogle was arrested for possessing child pornography. After pleading guilty at trial, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Now, if Jared had appeared on any other show, the studio would do everything in their power to avoid any connection with him.

But this is South Park we're talking about. Unsurprisingly, they did what they always do when a controversial topic gains more traction - double down. Not only did he return in the episode, Stunning and Brave, where he tries to "save" Syrian refugee children, Jared is one of the bosses in the game, South Park: The Fractured But Whole.
