10 Times You Can't Believe South Park Actually Went There

5. Violating Indiana Jones

The China Problem episode begins with Kyle and Stan noticeably depressed about an unspecified tragedy. When they talk about how they saw their longtime friend getting raped before their very eyes, the viewer has no idea what they're referring to at first.

About halfway through the episode, we learn the "rape" that the boys discussed was referring to the critically-panned film, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull. Any time the boys think about the disappointing sequel, they envision Steven Spielberg and George Lucas violating Harrison Ford's iconic character. Now, viewers weren't surprised South Park took a swing at Crystal Skull. (They already made fun of Indiana Jones in the episode, Free Hat.) However, no one expected the South Park creators to show their disdain for the movie by depicting three scenes of Indy being violated by the franchise's creators.

What's worse is these scenes aren't really played for laughs. The way the Star Wars director's face convulse as he climaxes is unsettling. Watching Spielberg pin Indy down as he screeches hysterically makes your toes curl. Even though South Park is renowned for pushing the envelope, it was baffling to see how far they took this joke.
