Child actor Miles Heizer has an impressive amount of credits to his name due to the fact that he made countless guest appearances in your favourite TV shows of the noughties, but it was his role in Parenthood, and later 13 Reasons Why, that made viewers sit up and take notice.

The latter introduced him to a global audience (due to Netflix's global reach) and it wasn't long before people all over the world started paying attention - and for good reason.

Heizer has had some deeply powerful stuff to work with over the past few years and he has never shied away from it, turning in performances so moving that its impossible to do anything but root for the once-confrontational character Alex Standall. And it has resulted in him becoming the MVP of both of the last two seasons, ensuring that we remained completely committed to his character's arc in spite of the rest of the show's decline.
